Chillers for dairies, food and processes

Chillers and cooling circuits for liquids, food processes and industrial operations.

How it works and what we assess

The process transfers heat to a service fluid, for example through a heat exchanger. A chiller cools that fluid so it can absorb heat again. Separation of product, fluid and refrigerant is defined by the process.

How the system works

  1. Identify the process

Define which product or equipment requires cooling, and how quickly.

  2. Transport the heat

A service circuit connects the process to the cooling system.

  3. Cool and recirculate

The chiller removes heat and the fluid returns to the process.

Why these systems are used

Process chillers ↗

An option for supplying cold fluid to heat exchangers and process equipment. R290 configurations can be evaluated.

Industrial waterloop ↗

Another configuration to consider when the project integrates services through a circuit; engineering defines its function and connections.

Our recommendation

Start with the process heat balance and production throughput. Cooling a batch tank and serving a continuous production line may require different configurations.

Before selection

  • Specify product, flow rate, inlet and outlet temperatures, and available time.
  • Define the service fluid, its compatibility and the required sanitary separation.
  • Coordinate cleaning, maintenance and controls with the food process designer.
